About Me

From the baseball field to the classroom, my journey has been one of passion, perseverance, and personal growth. As a varsity baseball player at Redwood High School and part of the Redwood journalism program, I’ve had the opportunity to push myself both as an athlete and a writer. However, managing both sports and academics has not always been easy. But as time passed by I have been able to create a balance between both so I can produce the best outcomes in the classroom as well as on the field. My favorite part about writing in journalism is that often times my best pieces come from writing articles on the things I love. With these pieces I am able to bring passion and authenticity to the articles. In addition, one of the best outcomes that comes from playing baseball and being part of the journalism program is the idea of teamwork. They have both really taught me the importance of teamwork, as in both it is clear that the best results come from everyone working together towards a common goal. I’m excited about how I can combine my love for writing and sports in the future. Whether it’s through sports journalism or other creative ideas, I’m committed to using my voice to share stories that inspire and inform others. The skills I’ve developed over time through journalism world will continue to guide me as I move forward in my life.
